The story of Central Security & Fire began with a spark of innovation. Back in 1995, Ron Care — a former BT Engineer and keen inventor — spotted a gap in the market. While commercial premises were well protected, homes were being left behind.

 

Determined to change that, he founded Duoguard, and introduced one of the UK’s first wireless intruder alarm systems — technology that’s now standard in homes across the country.

 

With a background in electronics and telecommunications, Ron built a reputation for solving problems the big national firms couldn’t. His hands-on approach and dedication to quality quickly set the company apart.

After 22 years at the helm, Ron sold Duoguard in 2017 and now continues to support the business in a consultancy role, ensuring his knowledge and standards remain at the core.

 

We now trade as CSF. Keeping it simple, modern, and memorable. We’re proud to be a tight-knit team of skilled engineers who genuinely care about what we do. We’re not just colleagues, we’re a work family. Friendly, reliable, and always ready to go the extra mile.
