You might have noticed that the Texecom Connect app got an update on Thursday 30th October, after a beta period starting in July 2025. Along with minor design tweaks, the layout has changed a bit, so here’s a quick guide to some common questions.

Face ID/Biometrics

Turn on Face ID for a user:

Menu > Manage Users > Panel Users > Select User > Use Biometric

 

Creating App Codes

 

Generate a new app code:
Menu > Manage Users > Panel Users > Select User > + Mobile Device

Master User Access

Master users can see and manage all codes—that’s by design. If you don’t want this access, log in as a standard user.

 

Hiding Zones

Omit zones you don’t need:

Rooms > Security > Tap the green icon
Omitted zones turn grey.

 

Switching Areas

No more swiping to find the Area list at the top left of the Home Screen.

Emergency Button (SOS)

1. Enable PA on the last keypad (fire/medical optional).

2. In the app: Menu > Sync Panel
   The SOS button will appear on the Home Screen with a reset option.

 

Assigning Zones to Rooms
To assign zones:
Menu > Zone Devices > Tap the three dots on the zone
